Who Knocked the Great out of Britain?

By: Capybara

Gordon Brown: Ex stealth tax grabbing chancellor now P.M.
I can’t remember his name on my general election voting papers.

Recycling: Another soon to be stealth tax all in the name of saving the environment. Heard of chip and pin. This is going to be chip in your bin!

European Union: According to a UN survey non member states Norway and Iceland now have a much higher quality of life than member states of the EU. With greater prosperity better education and far less crime. Oh well we did vote to join did we not!

Asylum seekers: The welcome pack includes the location of the nearest benefits office plenty of room for all on our large spacious Island!

Transport System: Fear not, the congestion charge has helped, so will soon become phased in across cities nation-wide. If you think this is bad how about big brother in the boot of your car tracking you’re every move and charging you for the privilege.

Brussels: Proud to be a member? You should be, it only costs each of us a thousand pounds a year in taxes to maintain the many useful Quangos

Railway system: Britain invented the railway and now leads the way in cramming as many passengers as possible into a carriage whilst fleecing them unmercifully at the same time.

Inheritance Tax: Created to be a tax on the super rich, now a tax on the middle classes.
Where is Robin Hood when you need him?

Tolls: Dartford crossing on Friday night join the 25 mile queue and enjoy the view as you slowly creep towards the toll booths to be charged a pound for the privilege.

Airport Security: Please throw your scissors and bottles of mineral water in the bin, as they are a security risk. Don’t worry you can buy them all again in the departure lounge.

Immigration: Do not worry, multiculturalism works, look at how the crime figures have fallen and Britain is such a lovely country they are queuing up in France to get in while our professional people head of to Oz for a better life.

Nhs: Once the envy of the world, now a bloated target laden beaurocracy run on the lines of the lottery. Will you get treatment or won’t you get treatment depends where you live I suppose.
